Oklahoma Rifle Oklahoma's rifle season coincides with the rut, making this a great time to harvest trophy deer. Our main method is spot-and-stalk since many of our properties are a mixture of open prairie and wooded draws and ridges. We like to set up on high points on the edge of the prairie and glass for bucks chasing does or crossing open areas. This hunt requires a good set of binoculars and a spotting scope is a plus. This hunt is Highly Successful on quality bucks.
Kansas Rifle This is a post rut type hunt and we tend to hunt from stands the majority of the time. The deer are not moving as much as during the rut and you will not see as many bucks. BUT, the potential to harvest an exceptional buck is greater in Kansas since the gun season is after the rut. Placing the gun season after the rut makes them less vulnerable and therefore BIGGER! We have killed some great bucks during this hunt!

Oklahoma Muzzleloader This hunt is generally held the first week of November and is a pre-rut hunt. We have good success rattling at this time, making it an exciting time to hunt. We also use tree stands placed in relation to oaks that are dropping acorns, since this is the preferred food during this time.
Kansas Muzzleloader This hunt is held the last week of September, making it a great time to hunt big bucks. Bucks are still in predictable summer patterns and they have not been hunted. This hunt allows muzzleloader hunters to hunt deer prior to archery and gun hunters!
Nebraska Muzzleloader This hunt takes place in December after the rut. During this time bucks are recovering from the rut and trying to add weight for the upcoming winter. Therefore hunting food sources is our main method to harvest quality bucks during this hunt.

Archery: Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska We try to time our bow hunts around the rut as much as possible. This is a very exciting time to be in the woods since bucks are moving. Most of our properties have considerable amounts of prairie and cropland, making the wooded draws and canyons natural funnels. These funnels are a great location for you to intercept a quality buck!
